Letter to the Editor: Local Group Adopts SAIF Program
Thank you for your article on the Seniors Against Investment Fraud program ("State funds seniors' anti-fraud program," Oct. 24, 2002).
The American Association of University Women, Nevada County Branch, has adopted the SAIF program as its latest community project. Members who attend the training are available to share this important information within the community. In addition to investment fraud, other common scams involving contractors, lotteries and contests will be covered. Specific techniques to handle telemarketers and written solicitations are also taught.
