DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATIONS MOVES SACRAMENTO OFFICE


 

Sacramento, January 29, 2001 — The Department of Corporations today announced the move of the Sacramento Office from its location at the U.S. Bank Plaza Building, 980-9th Street, Suite 500, Sacramento, CA 95814-2724 to the Capitol Centre Building at 1515 K Street, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95814-4052, effective February 5, 2001. All telephone numbers and fax numbers will remain the same.

The move will take place between Friday, February 2, and Sunday, February 4. The department’s files will be unavailable from Thursday, February 1, reopening for business on Monday, February 5. The department’s computers will be disconnected at noon on Friday, February 2, and will be reconnected the morning of Monday, February 5. Phone contact with the department will be disrupted from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, through Sunday, February 4, and will be reestablished by Monday, February 5, 2001.

The Department of Corporations is California's Investment and Financing Authority, reporting to the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and the Governor. The Department is responsible for the regulation, enforcement and licensing of securities, franchises, off-exchange commodities, investment and financial services, independent escrows, consumer and commercial finance lending and residential mortgage lending.
