DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATIONS MOVES LOS ANGELES OFFICE


 

Los Angeles, April 21, 1999 — The Department of Corporations today announced the move of the Los Angeles Office from its mid-Wilshire location to 320 West 4th Street, Suite 750, Los Angeles, CA 90013-1105 effective May 3, 1999.

The department’s current location at 3700 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 600, Los Angeles, 90010-3001 will be transitioning to the new location beginning April 30. The Los Angeles Office File Room will be closed from Monday, April 26, 1999 through Tuesday, May 4, reopening on May 5, 1999.

The department’s general information number will be (213) 576-7500. There may be some disruption in telephone service on Monday, May 3, with calls being forwarded to the Sacramento office. Telephone services should be fully operational by Tuesday, May 4, 1999. The department’s 800-consumer complaint number for health plan enrollees will remain the same: 1-800-400-0815, and will be fully staffed during the move.

The Department of Corporations is California's Investment and Financing Authority, reporting to the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and the Governor. The Department is responsible for the regulation, enforcement and licensing of securities, franchises, off-exchange commodities, investment and financial services, independent escrows, consumer and commercial finance lending and residential mortgage lending.
