Office of Legislation & Policy
The Office of Legislation & Policy (OLP) is part of the Executive Office (EXEC) of the California Corporations Commissioner. OLP is headed by a Deputy Commissioner who is the Department's General Counsel (GC) and has responsibility, on the Commissioner's behalf, for legal opinions, rulemaking, legislation, special projects and other concerns across programmatic lines relating to all the laws administered by, and subject to the jurisdiction of, the Commissioner.
OLP has responsibility for legislation, opinions, rulemaking, releases, special projects, and other problems or concerns relating to all of the laws administered by the California Commissioner of Corporations and subject to the jurisdiction of the California Department of Corporations.
