    The California Department of Aging administers programs and services to seniors and adults with disabilities in California. The Dpeartment also acts as an advocate for seniors and adults with disabilities and works with federal, state and local agenices which also serve these groups.

    The California Commission on Aging serves as the prinicipal advocate in the state on behalf of older individuals providing advisory participating in the consideration of legislation and regulations affecting programs and services aimed at seniors.
